For the loosen anchor bolt, the effective rehabilitation method at abroad is to adopt polymer composites, and the most mature material introduced in domestic China is American Micava concrete repair material. The material itself has impact resistance and compressive strength far greater than that of the present concrete material. Further, it has the performance of chemical mediator resistance. For its excellent adhesion performance, it has greater adhesive force to concrete than that of concrete itself (concrete will be pulled into pieces first.). At the same time, it adheres to steel and other coarse surface and then is fast solidified. Its performance can save the loss for enterprises as a result of production halts.
Anchor bolt often matches with concrete base to bear the load weight of the machine to ensure the normal smooth operation of the machine. Anchor bolt material used for concrete structure can be carbon steel, stainless steel or alloy steel, which shall be selected appropriately, based on different environmental conditions and durability requirements. Attentions in Nut Selection
Pipeline operating pressure, operating temperature, media types and gasket type shall be considered in nut selection.
Gasket type, operating pressure and operating temperature have concrete requirements for fastener material strength. For example, adoption of the flange connection with low-voltage toxic media pipeline in the wound gasket sealing. While the operating pressure and temperature of the pipeline are not high, the wound gasket needs great pressure in forming an initial sealing, so the fastener is required to bear great load. In this case, the fastener shall use high-strength alloy steel materials.
Alloy steel studs should adopt high quality steels, namely, the material mark with the letter A, such as 35CrMoA, 25CrMoVA.
Based on the structure type, the bolt can be classified into hexagon bolt and dual-head bolt (also known as stud bolt); and dual-head bolt is divided into the harness cord and non-harness cord.
Hexagon bolt: It often matches with flat welding flange and non-metallic gasket to be used in mild operation conditions. Common material of hexagon bolt is BL3 or Q235B.
Dual-head bolt: It often matches with the butt welding flange to be used in relatively harsh operation conditions. Since the harness cord type of dual-head bolt has no change in cross-section shape, it has a strong carrying capacity. Relatively speaking, the non-harness cord type of dual-head bolt has a weak carrying capacity.
Nut materials usually depend on the matched bolt materials. These combinations are set forth in the general standards. In general, the hardness of nut material should be slightly lower than that of bolt material. Make sure that the nut hardness is roughly HB30 lower than the bolt hardness.
